Mace

Description

Spice Boat Mace (Javithri) spice comes from the dried aril of nutmeg, offering a slightly warm taste and nutmeg-like fragrance. The processing involves sun drying the crimson aril for 10 to 14 days. It is used in baking, meat, and fish dishes, as well as sauces, vegetables, preserving, and pickling.  A pinch of mace goes a long way, delicately enhancing a variety of recipes by adding fragrance without overshadowing the flavors.
